Recently, for his first solo exhibition, Jono Pandolfi created a small collection of pieces for a show titled “Sculptural Vessels” at Greenwich House Pottery in downtown New York City.
The exhibition was an opportunity for Jono to step away from his dinnerware creations and embark on a journey of experimentation in size and structure. “For Sculptural Vessels I set out to solve new problems,” he says. “Problems that felt starkly different from the familiar challenges I encounter in the daily rhythm of my manufacturing studio practice.”
Here, for our January Special Edition, we’re offering three pieces for sale from this show. Each piece expands on his creative process by working at a larger scale, often cutting and rearranging sections. For example, he might take a wheel-thrown cylinder, remove central portions and reassemble them to create striking transformations, “for no reason other than an exploration of possibility.”
This is a unique chance to collect work by Jono that would not typically be available on our retail site.
